Black & White
World
Our production of A View from the Bridge was set in a world absent of any color, to represent the struggle and emotion drain of the characters' situation. Only a few select props and costumes pieces were left in color. The black and white world we created was a collaboration between all of the departments, as the set, props, costumes, and lighting not only had to appear black and white, but also in the same temperature of grayscale. For the props, anything pulled from stock that was not already black and white needed to be painted or recovered.

Paper Props
Per the director's vision, all of the paper props from A View from the Bridge had to be in black and white, mostly blank, and only featuring small details. As a prop shop, we had to make each paper prop as minimal in design as possible while still giving the impression of what the object is to the audience. Below are examples of some of the paper props featured in the production.
